The Mobility in Italy (1-7.05.2022)

1st day

Today was the first day of our project. We transferred to Liceo Innocenzo XII where the ‚Erasmus + Anzio mobility' has started. After school presentation and icebreakers we had a quick coffee break.

Then we learnt about mosaics in Italy and did some exercises. Italian school cuisine surprised us with various tasty vege dishes. After lunch we wandered around city of Anzio. The last point of the day was photo hunt, which included attractions such as Statue of Nero, Piazza Pia and more. Tired but pleased we headed towards our hotel to rest.

2nd day

On Tuesday we moved to the second building of APICIO Colonna gatti high school, where we learned how to make mosaics in the Roman style. Then we had lunch at a restaurant with a beautiful sea view. Also today we visited the museums in Anzio: museo civico archeologico and Anzio Beachhead, both housed in Villa Adele. At the end of the day we had the best ice cream in Anzio.

3rd day

Today, we visited the capital of Italy - Rome. In the morning we admired the majestic Santa Maria Maggiore with the ancient mosaic floors and Santa Prassede with English speaking guide.

We reached the Colosseum and visited Saints Cosma and Damiano.

We went to The Santa Maria in Trastevere Basilica which offers an amazing example of mosaic in the apse calotte dating back to 1140. We also tried some delicious Italian food.

4th day

In the morning we went to school in order to finish our mosaics. After 3 hours of work we headed towards train station. We took the train to Rome and visited de Trevi fountainne, Spanish stairs and Piazza de Navona. At 8pm all countries gathered in a restauran for a farewell party. We tried a lot of new foods, such as octopus, seafood, spaghetti all'ortolana and lemon sorbet.

5th day

The Certificate Ceremony was held at the end of this amazing week to celebrate successful new friendships, new learnings, new perspectives.
